Emozi® Middle School

Program Overview

Emozi® Middle School is a practical, research-informed social emotional learning curriculum designed for the modern middle school experience. Emozi® is teacher-led and approachable in diverse classroom settings. Emozi® is uniquely noted for fostering relationships between teachers and students that help improve social and emotional coping skills, thus reducing school violence, bullying, teacher burnout, and turnover. Implementing Emozi enables educators to focus on teaching and improving student learning, attendance, achievement, and positive educational experiences. 

Format and Delivery

  • Efficient use of class time: 30 minutes per lesson activity

  • Engaged Teaching: Puts teachers at the center of instruction, unlike other programs focusing on videos and responding to canned questions. Helps to promote a mentoring relationship between teachers and students.

  • As brief or in-depth as you want: Enough content to do every day, or create an implementation plan that fits your schedule; Teachers can select from lesson activities at their discretion; Implement instruction around one novel, two novels, all 3 novels. If desired, enough content for every day of the school year.

  • Includes tips for differentiated instruction and additional supporting activities for provided counselors, small group sessions

  • Student workbooks: Everything students need for all lessons and activities in one place; Promotes independent self-exploration and ownership of personal growth.

  • Also includes a digital copy of The Social Emotional Classroom: A New Way to Nurture Students and Understand the Brain.
