Designed for the modern classroom with input from teachers and educators
Every year, your students and school face new challenges. Emozi® Middle School’s social emotional learning teacher guide, student workbook, 180 hands-on activities to choose from, and ongoing professional development help you every step of the way.
Standards-Aligned for Easy Implementation
Emozi® Middle School is aligned with CASEL’s 5 Competencies, state and national standards, MTSS, and PBIS practices to aide implementation and ongoing use. It also meets ESSA Level IV for Demonstrating Rationale Evidence. Several research projects are underway at this time.
Hands-On Learning Activities Promote Positive and Engaged Classrooms
The teacher and student-led activities in Emozi® Middle School promote positive classrooms and improve student behavior through hands-on activities such as:
Role-playing: Students can act out scenarios involving social or emotional challenges, such as dealing with bullying or managing strong emotions. This can help students practice their SEL skills and learn from each other's experiences.
Journaling: Students can keep a journal to reflect on their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. This can help them develop self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
Group projects: Emozi® can be integrated into any subject matter with group projects. Students can work in small groups to practice collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. This can help them develop social skills and learn to work with others.
Service learning: Students can participate in service learning projects that involve helping others in their community. This can help them develop empathy and a sense of civic responsibility.
Emozi® Middle School SEL includes engaging, interactive activities that allow students to learn and practice SEL skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Strong ELA Connection
Emozi® can be integrated into ELA classes through the optional Socratic Seminar strategy. This strategy empowers meaningful student conversations through relatable and award-winning YA literature.
